In early December, United Way of Central Carolinas announced the investment of over $12 million in communities across the Charlotte region – awarding $10 million in grants to 140 nonprofit agencies that are building stronger neighborhoods, advancing racial equity and economic mobility, and providing a safety net for those who need it most. The remaining $2.3 million represents additional #UnitedWay community investments and donor-directed funding for #nonprofits.
UWCC staff, community volunteers and the UWCC Board of Directors selected Hope Vibes for not one but TWO grants for 2022! UWCC | Unite Charlotte selected us for a $40,000 award as a second year recipient to continue our efforts to provide support to people currently experiencing #homelessness and extreme #poverty in our region and implement new innovative ideas. UWCC | United Neighborhoods is awarding Hope Vibes $10,000 to expand our services specifically in the #Lakeview community of Charlotte.
The Lakeview Neighborhood Alliance mission is to engage community members by connecting them to resources and opportunities, while advocating for Lakeview’s growth and renewal. We are honored that leaders and residents of this community have invited #HopeVibes in to be a part of their tight knit family. We are excited about serving, building and growing together!
