Hope Vibes is extremely excited about the opportunity to expand our services & culture to the Triad region of North Carolina, starting with Winston-Salem! The mission of Hope Vibes is to develop creative exit strategies to end homelessness through direct relief, research, innovation, advocacy and systemic disruption. This same mission that began in Charlotte, NC in 2017 will continue as we launch Hope Vibes Triad in January 2022! Individuals and families experiencing homelessness or extreme poverty scenarios will receive free access to hygiene and household  essentials on a regular basis while we also prepare for the launch of the Triad’s first Hope Tank -- our customized mobile laundry and shower vehicle.

Our Triad Regional Directors, John & Migdalia Basilio, have a history of missional work, loving people unconditionally and being solution cultivators. We consider these to be key attributes necessary to have real impact in the lives of our neighbors in the Triad area. We are thankful to have them in the Hope Vibes family! To learn more about The Basilios, check out their bio below.

If you would like to learn more about the Triad Hope Tank, partner with Hope Vibes Triad as a volunteer or host a hygiene drive, please email triad@hopevibes.org or click the “Contact Us” tab. If this is your first stop on the site and you’ve never even heard of Hope Vibes before, please take a look around on the entire website to learn about all things Hope Vibes! You’ll find more info on how we got started, where we are now and where we’re going! Don’t forget to follow us on all social media platforms to stay connected on a daily basis.

As children born of immigrant Latinos in the United States, John and Migdalia Basilio have long experienced the difficulties that many face to integrate in a foreign new place; challenges that immigrant families and social circles face that are rarely talked about or even considered in today's society. Language barriers, cultural unawareness, mental health challenges, alcohol abuse, homelessness and food insecurities are a few of the things that they have known and experienced, up close and personal, while growing up.

As husband and wife with three teenagers, John and Migdalia Basilio have committed themselves to actively searching for and engaging in opportunities that allow them to love, serve and provide resources to others who are experiencing the very same things. Their life quote is “we must be intentional and model what we want others to do.” After searching and discovering many organizations while trying to learn how to take care of neighbors experiencing homelessness in the Winston-Salem area, they connected with Hope Vibes!

With life experience loving and learning how to help people experiencing poverty in New Jersey, California, Florida and internationally in places like Tijuana, Mexico and La Paz, Bolivia, the Basilio family is excited to partner with the Emmanuel and Adrienne Threatt — the founders of Hope Vibes Inc.

“This is not only a latino immigrant problem. We are convinced that people of all colors, all races and all cultures experience hardship, loss, and unexpected difficulties in life.”

- Migdalia Basilio -

“We are honored that they would allow us to join them in this very important humanitarian effort to give dignity, love, and respect to those in our area of the Triad in every way that we possibly can.” - John Basilio

In 2022, we are excited to spear-head and fund raise for a newly constructed Hope Tank that would provide laundry and shower services to our neighbors experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty, while also expanding the reach of the Hope Vibes mission to develop creative exit strategies to end homelessness through direct relief, research, innovation, advocacy and systemic disruption.
